This is an update on a post I made before when I knew very little about my husbands family tree.
I have found a 1920 census in Red Bluff, SC with John W Sanders age 29 m. Gertrude age 29 sons marion and james also in household is James Sanders 49 m. Mary E Sanders 51 and daughter minnie 26(1910 census show son alex and another daughter martha not living at home in 1920 census) With that said I believe this is the John SAUNDERS I am looking for. The reason being my husbands great grandmother Susie Brigman grew up living two dwellings down from the Saunders with her family in the 1920 census it show that the family has moved leaving only Susie with her 11 month old John Wesley Brigman also in the household is a Bessie Chavis with her daughter myrtle. Susie went on to have other children by John W. Saunders all went by the Brigman name except for Walter David Saunders. I doubt I will find any paperwork stating the father of the children since John was married and Susie is mulatto but I would like to try to find someone who may have info. My mother n law believes that John and Gertrude moved back to NC near Red Springs near where walter david his son lived also the Oldham family which I came to find out were also listed on the 1920 census and lived in the dwelling between John Saunders/Sanders(listed sanders in census) and Susie Brigman's dwellings.
Any help would be appriciated
