I am trying to find ancestors of James A. SAUNDERS born in 1838 in Pulaski County, VA. He married Martha E MONROE, (born 1844, VA in TN) around 1865. Martha's parents were Elisha MONROE and Catherine "Kitty" WALTON.

James and Martha had the following children:
Blanche Walton SAUNDERS, b 1865, in VA
David T SAUNDERS, b 1868, in TN
Charles W SAUNDERS, b 1871, in TN
Edward J SAUNDERS, b 1874, in DeKalb TN
Elisha F. SAUNDERS, b 1876, in TN
Mathew M SAUNDERS, b 1879, in TN
Lelia Katherine SAUNDERS b 1882, in TN
