In case it is of interest to anyone, there is a portrait of William E. Saunders posted on deadfred.com:

This picture of Mr. William E. Saunders appears on page 466 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XXVI, no.11, November 1903. Please see that reference for more details. Mr. William E. Saunders' father was Dr. William Saunders (director of the experimental farm of the Dominion). Mr. William E. Saunders lived in London, Ontario, Canada. He was secretary of the Ontario Entomological Society from at least 1887-1903. That is all the information I have on this picture. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
