Saunders in Somerset, England possible Hayward connection

My great grandfather emigrated to South Africa. I have just discovered that he came from / was born in Somerset, England. I now nothing about his parents or siblings, but am keen to discover more.
His names were Sidney Donald SAUNDERS born about 1874.
He was a rigger according to the SA service records for his service during WW1.
He married in South Africa to Elizabeth FODEN and their children were Thomas Edward James, Richard John Hayward, Margaret Sophia, Robert, Ronald Edward, Sidney John, Barbara, Donald John, Raphael Edward, Mary, Peter and Caroline. I have not been able to find any "Hayward" in his wife's side, so I am hoping that this is a clue to Sidney SAUNDERS's family.

Please let me know if he fits into your tree anywhere.

Thank you for your time.

Regards
Janine
