Sodders/Sauter/Sauder family
Posted by: Karen Sodders Date: March 15, 2002 at 09:33:30

We are doing research on the Sodders Family. I suspect that the original spelling of Sodders may have been Sauter or Sauder. The furthest we have been able to go back is to Henry & Lydia Sodders (both born in Pennyslvania in the late 1700's). Henry & Lydia are buried in Silvercreek Twp., Greene County, Ohio. We have no information as to what Lydia's maiden name was or who Henry's parents might have been. I have found that a Peider Sauter came from Rotterdam to Philadelphia in the early 1700's aboard the "Loyall Judith". Does anyone know if these families are related?
