Hello all..

In 1950 we visited Mississippi and Louisiana... I was 4 or nearly 5...I met My Great grandpa Savel...My mother was Ruby Green, father = James Green, Stepmother Viola... said to be related (possible cousin to mothers real mom,)daughter of Grampa Savel... he was almost blind, but lived in a cabin next to main house of family members...he could see some light and walked from the cabin to house by himself... kept an old wooden trunk in his cabin with tobacco and candy. He mistakenly gave us each a plug of tobacco instead of the candy... we'd never seen plug tobacco..yucK!!!and Blah, it was horrible but I DOOO!!! remember Granpa...could have been either state and daughter might have been Mary/Marrium or similar, Savel? Gramps's last name might be spelled Savell

Not a lot to go on after 57 years...A wild guess or possible family contact would be great... will follow all possible leads... thanx Rod
