William Sayers B1795 VA D abt1855 MO

I was hoping to find info about this man and perhaps relatives.

This is not William Cecil Sayers that was also born in VA the same year and moved to MO. In the 1850 Census both of them appear with different wives and kids. My William had a wife Amy and 8 kids.

In Amy's Obit is says this:

She was the wife of Major Sayers. They came to this county from Covington KY in 1836 and landed at James Bayon (missisippi MO) and resided there till 1846 when they removed to Charleston and commenced building a hotel. Major Sayers held several offices of trust in this county and was a well-to-do citizen.

The kids names were Mary b1836KY, Laura b1837KY, F.M. b1842MO, William b1844MO, Hugh H. b1846MO, Emma 1847MO, Joshua b1851MO, Ella b1853MO.

Since his name is Sayers and was born in VA like so many others such as William Cecil Sayers I figure that he must be related to them. I would love to know how since so much is know about the family of William Cecil Sayers.

Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide.
Greg Flynn (your cousin maybe)
