OTHER INFORMATION: Robert Floyd Sayers and his family arrived in Jackson Twp., Tippecanoe Co., IN, from Tazwell Co., VA, on 27 September 1830. In the spring of 1831 he built a log cabin on the farm of Levi Wheeler, about one mile south of Shawnee Mound. In 1841, he built a beautiful, large two story, 10 room home, which in March 1940 was burned to the ground in an effort to conceal the tragic murder of its occupant, Georgia MILLER, a granddaughter, by Clair MITCHELL. All family records and heirlooms were completely destroyed.
