I found a posting of unknown origin
referring to a John Sayers: merchant sailing on the Pheonix of Leith ship in 1683 from Leith Scotland to Virginia
Most of these ships carried convicts and servants to be indentured in Virginia
hard to believe a merchant would be in this class
Cant say as he stayed: or was just part of the transport team.
Potentially: though: he is a source of Sayers in Early Virginia
