Two different Elizabeth Lyon(s) married to two different Daniel Sayre?
I have a situation that really puzzles me. I have two men named Daniel Sayre that were both married to women named Elizabeth Lyon(s).
The first is Daniel Sayre, b. 1666, Elizabethtown, NJ, d. 3 June 1723, Elizabethtown, NJ
Married to Elizabeth (Lyon), b. 1672, Newark, NJ, d. 3 June 1723?, Essex, NJ
The second is his son, Daniel Sayre, b. Nov. 1702, Elizabethtown, NJ, d. 1760, Elizabethtown, NJ
Married to Elizabeth Lyon, b. abt 1706,
Her parents were Joseph Lyon and Mary Pierson.
Both women are mentioned in Banta's book, and the second is clearly identified as the daughter of Joseph Lyon.
Is this information accurate? Do I really have a woman whose daughter in law has the same name? What is their relationship on the Lyon side of the family? Are they sisters, mother and daughter who marry father and son, or some other constellation of possibilities?
