I am hoping someone is researching the various Moore families of Abbeville.
My William Moore, emmigrated to SC Nov 1820 with his family from Ireland. I believe he had relatives in Abbeville, since that is where he settled.
His family consisted of:
William b. 1880 Ireland
Janet b. 1880 ireland
Elizabeth b. 1796 Ireland (poss. a sister?)
Nathanial b. 1803 Ireland
Thomas b. 1807 Ireland
Robert b. 1812 Ireland
John b. 1817 Ireland
Janet b. 1817 Ireland
I decend from Robert who marr. Margaret(e) Wiley in 1835 and left for Texas, having thier first child in SC. in 1836, two in Ga (1838 & 39, One in Ms. 1842 and finally Tx in 1849.
Robert and Nathanial Kirkpatrick were friends in Abbeville and later ran into each other in Tx.
I loose track of Roberts brothers. Being in the early census, I was hoping that someone could help me eliminate the other William Moores in Abbeville, and/or tie my William into some of the other Moores.
