According to 1823 Delaware probate records, my 3G-Grandfather, John R. Huston/Houston was married to Polly Calhoun/Calhoon, daughter of Elisha and Alice (Alcey) Calhoon of Sussex County, Delaware. Other than the mention in Elisha Calhoun's probate administration of "John Houston and Polly his wife", I have found no reference to this marriage in either the Delaware or Maryland archives. I'd like to pursue the Abbeville marriage, but the date is given only as 1774-1890. Does anyone have any information on the Abbeville marriage of John Houston and Mary Calhoun, or where I could go to nail down the date? Thank you! Andrew R.
