you have help my locating the ancester of my john r green, by shpwing this was not him. i am trying to learn the parents of the john green in tippah county, miss census of 1850. if you notice the 1830 census you will see that his wife was also jane. i was told about the marriage of john green and jane herr and i was looking to see if this was my john green. an older researcher has stated that my john green's wife's maiden name was hardin, but they did not know her given name. i found john r green in tippah county, miss with jane and children the other researcher said was in the family. i do not have access to south carolina records to verify my john green's family there.
