Please reply if you are descended from one of these families. These are siblings of my great grandfather James Fenton Cook (Jr.)1832-94, and children of James Fenton Cook (Sr.), 1797-1852 and Margaret Baskin. Sr. is buried at First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson County. He lived next to Fenton Hall and wife Mary. Info is from Abbeville County Census, and there may be other children of these siblings. Dates may be approximate. John Emory Uldrick, 1830-1899 and Jane Y. Cook, 1834-1893 Robert Stewart, Mary Jane, Margaret Ann, John James, Rebecca Frances, William B., Sam M., Joseph P., Thomas Franklin, Benjamin Allen, Lemuel Theodore J. O. Spence, 1828 and Mary B. Cook, 1838 James, Kate, Anna, Marg. OR Mary Gilbert Dawson, 1825-1900 and Margaret F. Cook 1839-1900 William Lester, John Baskin, James Gordon, Mary Jane John B.(probably Baskin) Cook, 1831, in Abbeville Census in 1850 and in Mississippi (I think it was Choctaw County) Census in 1860. I find no further definite trace, but there was a John B. Cook from the general area in the Civil War. I would greatly appreciate any info about this family before 1880 or so, and will share what I have. I especially am searching for the area where they lived, probably near Iva or Antreville, and who James F.'s parents were. I have reasons to believe that he may be the son of Dudley (wife Agnes, Nancy, or Ann, which could all be the same) and/or the grandson of Francis. Francis had a Grandson named James Fenton Cook (died in Alabama) of about the same age, but he is definitely not the same as mine who died in Abbeville in 1852. These Cooks lived in Abbeville and in Elbert County GA. Thanks. Notify Administrator about this message?
