Do you know where (what cemetery) Margaret Baskin Cook and her father are buried, and the dates of her birth and death? I find in the 1840 census a Cook that probably is my James, with children and no wife.

I found Margaret Baskin when I found a court case where Jane is trying to get her inheritance from the estate of John Baskin. I don't know how it came out.

Do you know where James and Margaret lived? I'm thinking it was just east of Rocky River, very near the Anderson line. My theory is that they would probably not travel more than about five miles to church.

Have you tried to connect James with Dudley?

No, I don't live in SC, but I have visited the library and the courthouse, and I have also been to Charleston and Columbia to search. Do you live in SC?
