Kirkland, George Washington - age 77, died 7-28-1909 at his residence on upper Broad Street. Funeral services held in Graniteville, S.C. this afternoon 7-29-1909 at five o'clock. Interment in the Cemetery that place. A native of South Carolina. He came to Augusta several years ago, and since that time has been an active and respected resident of the city and citizen of the state. He is survived by five son and six daughters. A member of the Graniteville Masonic Lodge and will be interred with Masonic honors.
