Luther Hampton Hankinson, of 1214 Belmont Dr., died in a local hosptial, 3-23-1962, Friday after an extended illness. A native of Beech Island, SC, lived in Augusta, Ga for 50 years. Son of the late Luther Hampton Hankinson and Mary Rountree Hankinson. Retired Vice President and General Manager of the Hankinson Brick and Tile Company. Member of Baptist Hill Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Bryson Hankinson, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services held at the Elliott Sons Chapel. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, Augusta, Ga. The Augusta Chronicle.
