I am looking for Samuel Smith, born 1802, whose daughter was Mahala E. Smith, who married Christopher Hanks.
They are my direct ancestors. Thanks for any information about them.
I noticed in the "Tradition and History of Anderson County" by Louise Ayer Vandiver that Samuel Smith sold the Evergreen Plantation to Mr. Earle. I'm not sure that is 'my' Samuel Smith.
