Can anyone help me with info re: African American BROWNS
in Colleton Co, SC?
I believe that my ggrandmother, CHARATA BROWN, may have
been from the Colleton area.
Her parents were HAGAR and SAM BROWN.
I find one of CHARATA'S daughters, HAGAR WHILDEN, living
with her grandfather, JOLEY LINNEN, in 1880 Colleton Co.
The LINNEN surname is not familiar to me, so perhaps there is a connection to the BROWNS.
