Seeking information on George Hoffman (1820-1905) and Fannie Loeb Hoffman (1820-1913). They came to US from Germany about 1854, port unknown. Were in Barnwell County by 1855. Son Jacob born in Bamberg in 1855, daughter Caroline (Carrie) in 1848, son Levi (Lee) in 1861 in Marion Court House, SC. IN 1860 census were in Springtown, Barnwell CO. In 1870 in Florence, Grant Twp, Darlington, SC. He was a tailor/merchant. Left for Lancaster, PA about 1871. Although the 1854/1855 date of arriva is pretty solid, can't find them on a passenger list. Apparently no online database for Charleston after 1820. Can use help with that. Also seek George's Naturallzation in SC. He also had two borthers or nephews. Solomon Hoffman (born 1839) who moved to NYC and was still alive in 1910 and Julius Hoffman born 1845. Thank you!
