Don't know if you have this already.

1870 Darlington County Census
George Hoffman 50 m w Tailor Prussia
Fanny 45 f w keeping house Prussia
Julius 21 m w Tailor Prussia
Jacob 14 m w S.C.
Connie 12 f w S.C.
Levi 10 m w S.C.

This part of Darlington County later became part of Florence County, also part of Marion County became part of Florence County. The Grant township was a name the Union Army used. After the Civil War the Federal Army re-named all the towns in Darlington County..........the name Grant would have been a real hard one to take! By 1880 the names were returned or they were given new names by the locals.
