JOSEPH CLARK

Hi,
Could someome please help me? I am looking for JOSEPH CLARK and family.
The only child I know was JAMES CLARK who was born in 1853, according to his tombstone in the Brownsville Baptist Church Cemetery in Marlboro Co.
I found a couple of JOSEPH CLARKS on the 1860 Marlboro census but, neither seem to fit right.
There is a JOSEPH CLARK in Harleeville in the 1880 census but I need to know about 1860 because JAMES CLARK would be only about 6 or 7 then. I don't know where to find the 1860 Marion Co. census.
I'd appreciate any help, comments, or advice!
Thanks,
Janet C. Bullard
