John received a land grant (Greenville Co., Ninety-six Dist.) on the branches of Gap Creek of the Middle Fork of the Saluda. SC Dept of Archives & History Index shows it on page 273. We have a photocopy of the document showing page 224. How do we determine exactly where this land was, if this was a bounty for Revolutionary War service and what happened to the land when John moved to Indiana between 1800 and 1807? Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.
