THOMAS HORTON - CSA

Thomas Horton of the South Carolina Confederate Army is thought to have emigrated from South Carolina to Victoria, Australia after the Civil War, leaving through New York. He died in Melbourne, Victoria under the name of Thomas Love Horton. I do not know from what county he came. If anyone can confirm this, or prove it untrue, I would like to hear from you. Any information on Thomas Horton's birth, life, family, military service or death would be greatly appreciated. If it is true and can be confirmed, he will be placed on the Australian Memorial website, www.acwv.info. Any help will be appreciated. jamesmgray@bigpond.com
