Greenwood, July 3- Funeral services for WILLIAM W. DOWTIN, 60, former resident of this county, who died at his home in Bowling Green, Fla., last Friday after a long illness, were conducted at the Troy cemetery.
MR. DOWTIN was a native of the Troy section, the s/o of MRS. SALLIE DOWTIN and the late DAVID DOWTIN. He lived near Ninety Six for a number of years before removing to Florida.
Besides his aged mother he is survived by his widow, who was MISS MARY EMMA MATHIS of McCormick Co. and 4 children, MRS. R.M. KERR, Columbia, MRS. JEFF KINARD, Ninety Six, and LILLIE and WILLIE DOWTIN, Bowling Green. He also leaves one sister, MRS. W.K. BURNSIDE, Troy and six brothers, T.A., KENNEDY, DAVID, ROBERT LEE, and PAUL DOWTIN, all of Troy and JOHN DOWTIN of Miami, Fla.
