GREENWOOD NEWS
MISS NUB SHARPE and MRS. ANNIE M. ILER among those who attened the COBB- ELLIOTT wedding in Ware Shoals Wednesday evening.

MR. and MRS. J.D. JEANS, of Greenville, are visiting the latter's mother, MRS. M.M. PLOWDEN.

MRS. J.L. MILFORD has returned to her home in Greenville, after visiting her daughter, MRS. R.B. CURRY.

Among the most beautiful autumn affairs in Greenwood recently was the reception tendered to her many friends by MRS. KENNETH BAKER on last Friday afternoon. In the hall, which was fragrant with great bowls of autumn roses and ferns, were Mesdames N.A. CRAIG, T.J. CRYMES and T.B. MEACHAM , MRS. H.B. ELLIS, and MRS. J.C. HARPER invited the ladies into the library, where autumns impress prevailed in a wealth of goldenrod, plain colored leaves and all the bright hued annuals of the season. MISSES SUSIE HODGES and MAMIE ELISE BOLTON served the punch in this room, while MISSES ALICE CONNOR and EMILY BURNSIDE gave several beautiful instrumental numbers. The spacious dining room was decorated in every nook and corner with autumns queen of flowers, chrysanthemums. Here MRS. BAKER, assisted by Mesdames J.B. GREEN, L.P. McGEE, J.D. KINARD and H.B. REYNOLDS, received her friends. JOEL AIKEN and JOHN CHIPLEY ushered the guests into the dining room, which was decorated profusely with salvias and exquisite ferns.
F.M. ALLEN, J.P. JENNINGS, JOE GREEN and E.A. REYNOLDS entertained the guests while they were being served a delicious sweet course by MISSES ELIZABETH CALHOUN, MAZIE TRAMMEL, MARION BYRD, CAMILLE JENNINGS and MAUD CHILES. MRS. D.A. G. CUZTS presided at a side entrance from which the guests made their exit.

MRS. J.F. ENTZMINGER has returned from Aiken, where she has been visiting her parents.

MRS. CHARLES M. McLAUGHLIN of Atlanta, spent Saturday night in the city with family of MR. and MRS. J.H. SOUTH, leaving Sunday for Waterloo, where she will spend some time with relatives.
