Dear Drew:

Thank you for your response. Interestly enough, I just got back from a visit to Ninety Six, SC. I walked through the site and took pictures. I spoke with one of the park rangers who had heard something about this incident but did not know much. She stated that an archealogist will be coming out this summer to dig in the town. I'd like to see them excavate out by the jail. The challenge may be that along with these bodies, there are possibly 20, or 30+ more who died in the battles for the fort who are buried in a mass grave ont he site somewhere.

The Park Ranger gave me her email and I will be sending her what little information I have been able to find. I found some references to this incident in some books at the DAR Library in Washington DC and she can add them to her data.

If you'd like the information, send me your email address and I will forward what I have. gomissymc@aol.com

Sincerely,

Missy
