Brenda, There are multiple references to Corley's in the area. Not sure what is meaningful to you but will list them all.

page 39: re: Masonic Lodge, S. W Corley listed as senior warden of Friendship Lodge in 1856.

page 167: Martha Corley married Esau Brooks and they had 6 children, Esau Jr., Lemuel, Madison, George Washington, Ann, Maria

page 191: Martha F. Clegg married Robert P. Corley, John H. Clegg married first M. Haseltine Corley.

page 192: Utincy Clegg, 1860-1879, was the first wife of John H. Corley

page 200: Corley family: Vinson Corley, 1824-1909, lived on the east side of Martin Town road not far below Kirksey. His family has no record of relationship to other Corley families who were in Edgefield County by the time of the Revolutionary War, but a connection seems likely. Vinson Corley married Charity Frazier, 1824-1906, daughter of William and Mary Frazier whose home was west of the Corley place. There were five Corley children:

William V. Corley born 1843 married Anna Chapman

Mary A. Corley, born 1845 married James Rambo

John H. Corley, born 1850 married first Utincy Clegg, two daughters: Martha and Mary Jane Corley. He married second, Mary Jane Timmerman and married third Virginia Timmerman May. His three wives were first cousins.

Robert Pendleton Corley, born 1853, married Martha F. Clegg, eight children: Abner Vinson, William P., John R., Jordan Holloway, Thomas E, Ivey Ellen, Sallie Lavine and Albert Richard Corley. Of these children:
William P married Margaret Ola Timmerman, lived in Greenwood and had 3 children:
Ralph N. Corley married first Thelma Griffin and second Sarah Gilchrist.
Everette M. Corley married Blanche Woodle
Margaret Corley married J. W. Holbrooks
Thomas E. Corley married Agnes Reardon, one son Julian Corley who married Annie Lee Wells and lived in Greenwood

Martha Haseltine (Hassie) Corly, 1860-1899, was the first wife of John H. Clegg

page 344
Elizabeth Ann Heard, 1802-1835? married Jacob Corley, three children and they removed to Louisiana.

page 353
James M. Rambo, 1845-1926 married Mary M. Corley, lived near Kirksey, had six children

page 417
Liney Whatley married John Corley, children included: Jesse, Densley, Isom and John

page 419
Charley Whatley married first Beulah Corley, no children
