James R. JONES Abbeville, Greenwood, or Laurens County

I am interested in any information on James R. Jones, born abt. 1871, in Laurens, Abbeville County, or Greenwood County, SC.

This young man was living with his grandparents, Joel Blackwell(b.1820-d.1915)and Mary Coats Blackwell(b.1828-d.1894)in the 1880 SC census. James' mother was Candace (or Candiss)E. Blackwell (b.abt 1849, death date unknown). His father is known only as James Jones.

I know of no siblings for young James and have no further information on his father.

Any help appreciated.
