Jarrod,
My husband's gr gr grf James Robert (Bobby)Hastings, born Feb. 10, 1814,died Nov. 30, 1914, first married Mattie Goldman, d. abt 1859, abt 1840. I haven't been able to find much out about her. Their son, Wilson, is my husband's gr grandfather. Bobby's second wife was Martha Goldman, b Nov. 27, 1838, d. Mar 27, 1912. She is supposedly Mattie's cousin. Mattie is the nickname for Martha, so it appears both his wives were named Martha.
There are plenty of Goldmans in Greenwood County and I do know a few of them. One about the same age as my husband and me, Ronnie Goldman, died a couple weeks ago. I believe he grew up in the Ninety Six area.
