DNA for Davis male must be direct male line- father to son, etc. I re looked at file on your Rosier to make sure I did not forget to tell you something. I have nothing new to ad.
Do you have your James R. Davis & Benjamin located in land records? Where did they specifically live? If you find James R living on land he got from a Davis, please let me know. I know more about Kershaw Co SC area Davises 1820 & before.
I looked for that info on Jasper Davis I saw at Camden, of course I cannot find it. You can do internet search for Camden Archives, Kershaw Co, SC & get their address or number. I saw several instances where people had written to them & requessted copy of info. Children of Jasper etc was listed, but I was only interested because he, like your James R, is the right age to be a son of some of the Kershaw Co Davises my set left behind.
Anyway, please keep me in mind if you pinpoint your James.
