Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue Chapel Hazel Clark Gable Higginbotham, 88, of Bowling Green died June 7, 2008, at a Bowling Green nursing home. The Spartenburg, S.C., native was born Jan. 20, 1920. She was an employee of the purchasing department at Western Kentucky University. She was a member of West End Church of Christ, but attended Hillvue Heights Church. She was a daughter of the late James Andrews Clark and Mossie Mae McAbee Clark. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Leon Gable; and her second husband, Morris Higginbotham. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Hill; and a brother, James Clark. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue Chapel, with burial at a later date in Chapel Hill. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include two sons, Terre Gable and his wife, Diane, of Jacksonville, Ala., and Robbie Gable of Bowling Green; a brother, Gene Clark and his wife, Gerri, of Bowling Green; three sisters, Adele Poythress of Mechanicsville, Va., Yvonne Ramage of Bowling Green and Irene Baker and her husband, Frank, of Bowling Green, Va.; two grandchildren, Amber Murrey and her husband, Jason, of Campbellsville and Brandon Gable of Bowling Green; a great-grandson, Blane Murrey; and several nieces and nephews.
