Stanmore Butler Brooks is buried at First Mt Moriah Baptist Church cemetery south of Greenwood, SC. There is also a Revolutionary marker for Elisha Brooks there. I do not know if Elisha is actually buried there. Stanmore is; he was a member of Mt Moriah.

There are cemetery books available if you camnnot visit. Greenwood County, South Carolina Cemetery Records, Volume One, was published in 1996 by the Old Ninety Six District Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society. I think it is still available. My own transcription of S. B. Brooks's stone has the dates Dec. 17, 1801 and Nov. 28, 1882. The cemetery book has a death date of Nov. 29, 1882. Other sources, like Margaret Watson's Greenwood County Sketches, give a birth year of 1802. I am not aware of a Bible record for Stanmore Butler Brooks.
