Jane - in the estate records of Evan, E. V. Nicholson is listed as guardian of minor heirs. E. V. shows up several times and I note that on his widow's pension appl. he is referred to as E. V. And by the way, Susan's nee name is probably not Holden, but Barnes. This per a death record of a daughter.
