Ida Brown, born 31 Oct 1897 at Smithbridge, Macon Co., NC to Alfred Brown and Mary Jane Ballew. Ida died March 1979 in Oconee Co., SC. Her husband, I identified as William Alexander was listed with her in 1920 Perkins Co., SC. He appears to be born c1885 in SC. There were a lot of Alexander's in Perkins County at that period and I don't want to jump to a conclusion on his identification. Ida and the children are in 1930 Oconee County with her children, living with her parents. There is a William Alexander of the right age in Pickens County but he has a different wife and children. Not sure what to make of that. Ida's child Johnson Alexander died in 2004 in Oconee County, SC. My main interest is in Alfred Brown's father William S. Brown. Ran out of leads on him so I am working down the line.
