Hi I suspect my great grandfather, Thomas H Strickland, may be buried in Elmwood Cemetery but there is no marked grave for him. I just saw a listing for this book that says it is from the Elmwood records. I am hoping that would cover unmarked graves as well. The reason I believe he may be buried there is because he lived across the street from Elmwood on the 1900 census. He died Feb 4,1901. There was no connection to Elmwood before that time but in 1935 when Thomas' grandson died my grandparents buried him at Elmwood and my grandparents are both buried there. My grandmother's family was from Greenwood and the Stricklands had lived near Blythewood and near Ft Jackson so Elmwood would have seemed an unlikely place without some connection. Can someone please do a lookup for me? I am researching the 8 families of my grandparents. Most of them were in the Old Edgefield District so the books and information I have is on that area. I will be glad to do lookups for anyone interested in that area. I live in Florida now. My families are Strickland/Stricklin, Howell, Day,Rish, Whittle, Matthews, Corley and Berry. Thank you for any help you can give me. Brenda My email address is brendal@earthlink.net Notify Administrator about this message?
