You know, we have wondered if Maggie was a Dawkins or not. She and Lewis Dawkins were listed as children of Lewis and Estelle Dawkins in the 1920 census. They were both listed as 8 years of age. We have determined that Estelle was not the birth mother of Lewis, Jr. (My friend has a letter written from Lewis, Sr. to Lewis, Jr. dated, I believe 1965.)

Would it be too much of an imposition to get us a copy of Maggie Eskew's obituary? The birth date is close enough and we know Maggie was alive in 1973 when Lewis, Jr. died because she was mentioned in his obituary. (Lewis, Jr. died in West Virginia where he had lived for many, many years.)

Thank you again for your willingness to help! Indiana is so far away from South Carolina.
