Looking for John Williams b. 1824 in Ireland. Served in the Mexican American war as a private in Company A, Palmetto regiment. Mustered in from Sumter Co. He later served in the Civil War from Missouri and later married Anna Hughes/McGuire from IN. They moved to Downs, Osborne County, KS. They had 7 boys and 1 girl. John died in 1913.
Any info would be appreciated--especially an 1850 census lookup.
