Deb - Thank you for responding. Yes, this family has me stumped. I have searched for him under the names Junious, Junius, and Julius. In peering at the actual census image for a long time it looks like Junious to me too. No, I don't have Estelle's maiden name.

I did find one other Chandler family in the area that I think might be related somehow - they both have people named Elick, Steller (or Eller), and Barker (or some variation). These seem like uncommon names to me and I though that the family might be related. I was going to look into them.

And here is another puzzling thing - there is a William Chandler of the right age, born/living in the same town (Shiloh) who is married to an Estelle according to his WWI draft registration.

Then there is a Julius Chandler registered for the WWI draft in the county next to Sumter. He lists Vivla Chandler as his nearest relative and I have not been able to find a Vivla Chandler anywhere else.
