I am researching my ggg grandfather, James Turbeville. He was born 1780/90 in SC, married Polly Fitzhugh in 1809 in Davidson County, TN, later moved to Henry County, TN where he died in 1855. I think his father may have been Richard James Turbeville born about 1731 and died in Old Sumter District, SC 1780/90. It looks like Richard James died soon after James was born. After the death, the mother, Ruth, moved the family to Davidson County, TN. They may have moved from Davidson County to Bedford County, TN where Ruth probably died. Then James, Polly and children moved to Henry County, TN. If anyone has any information to verify this or has any other information about these Turbevilles, I will appreciate hearing from you.
