Marsha -- John and Louisa are on the 1860 Marion Co., AL census pg 604 #914/826. They were living adjacent to my gtgtgrandparents (who had arrived in AL by 1850) Joseph and Mary E. (Doster) Black. Joseph and Mary were #913/825 on that 1860 census. I have had some difficulty verifying Mary's lineage, but another researcher indicates her father was probably Enoch Doster. Several children of Enoch have been identified except an "unnamed" female born ca1828. Mary's birthdate from family sources is Dec 23, 1828. With John Doster moving adjacent, I am almost certain that he must be Mary's brother. Would you provide more details on the 1850 York Co., SC census that includes John and Louisa? thanks.
