I want information from any in the MOORE family in York Dist, SC 1800-1822 & Lawrence Co. AL in 1820 & 1830 Census.
MOORE, John b. 1802 York Co. SC in 1820 he is 18 yrs of age. So he may likely be with his father. I do not have his father's first name but I do have the state of his birth as VA. (per the 1880 Census for John Jackson MOORE in Fulton, Itawamba Co. MS) with his wife Elizabeth (GREEN) b. 1811 Wayne Co. KY dau of Lewis GREEN of that county. She is 9 at the time.

Names that fit in York Co. SC are as follows:
1800 My John not yet born: Men listed are:
Alexander, Edward, James, James SR, John, John, Joseph, Samuel & William
1810 Wm, Edward, James, Robert, Nathan, Peyton and William MOORE

The given names in 1820 Lawrence Co AL for MOORE'S that have sons the right age in the Category of: White Men under 21, are as follows:
Henly, Henry, James, Joseph & Samuel

There are also 2 men without sons in that category of: John and Robert D. MOORE They may be related and you may have information on my John as well.

Will any of you who have history on the lines of these MOORE men contact me with the children's (most particularly sons names in the White Males under 21 Category). As my John will be in this category.

I have the date of marriage of John and Elizabeth as March 30, 1828 or April 1, of that same year. It can be simply a date of recording vs the actual marriage date.

1830 John and Elizabeth are married and in the census. But remaining MOORE men I Lawrence Co. AL are:
David, George W. James, James, James, John, Warren, William & William. If any of you can give me information on any of these MOORE males I will appreciate it too. I only see one common name between 1820 & 1830 and that is James so I especially want to hear from researchers for James. (3 of them)

Thank you so much for your time. I have looked for the possible males in York Dist SC and posted a Query at that Co. Site with Rootsweb.com & Genealogy.com .

If there are any in this Co. researching the surname Moore and can help with this search I will be very grateful.
Thank you,
Anita Moore Austin
