I am looking for information on James "Jimmy" Scaggs born in 1864. He is the youngest son of Charles Scaggs and Rhoda Dobbs. Possibly born in Wheeling Area of what is now West Virginia. According to family lore he was married and had kids. But I don't know who he married, or how many kids he had. Even though he was born in West Virginia, he probably moved back east with the rest of his family when his sister Dora Nancy married Lemuel Amos Welsh. There were already extended family living here in Maryland. In what is now Montgomery County, Prince George's County and Howard County, Maryland.
Scaggsville, located a few miles north of Laurel is named for the family. There are Scaggs's in Laurel, Burtonsville and Savage, Maryland. I have information on all of his siblings. but I only have his birth (Jimmy's) date. No other information.
