Pat, I just recevied a Gedcom file from one of my cousins that I need to decipher. There seems to be alot of info missing. As far as I can tell Thomas Scaggs WAS from St. Francois County and his wife Harriet was from St. Geneveive County. Im showing Thomas's father as being James A. Scaggs who died around 1863 (In TN) and Thomas's mother Sarah Ann Cain died around 1864 in Ft. Pickering, MO. The Children including Thomas were said to be orphaned at that time. I have some other documents that my cousin sent over in Jpeg format. Supposedly Pension applications from the Scaggs that served in the Union Army near Memphis. email me at LLC@socket.net and I will send you those directly.
