Hi again, I recently did a search on familysearch.org and came up with the following information from the 1880 Census of Sonora (I beieve this is a township), Hancock County, Illinois. Daniel Scannel(don't be fooled by the different spelling) and Catherine Scannel are shown with 6 children, all boys. Thomas, John, James, and William (could be your William Daniel and my Daniel William) are all shown as being born in New Brunswick. George and Albert are shown as being born in Illinois. I have a very strong feeling that this is my missing family from New Brunswick. The area of New Brunswick that James and William Scannell were born in was at one time part of the Province of Nova Scotia. I have information on the Marriage of Daniel Scannell and Catherine Griott from Saint John, New Bruswick as well as information on the births and baptisms of Thomas, John, James and Daniel William. More information available if you think this is a match, including some information from Ireland. You can contact me direct on e-mail.
