Smith/Scarborough Families England/USA
Hello All Scarborough's out there.I would like to share some information with you that I have found whilst researching my Husband's Christpher Smiths' (Chris) family tree.
James Smith born c1820 Keighley, Yorkshire, EnglandmarriedElizabeth Haggas, in Keighley Yorkshire, England.One of their son's Simeon Smith (my husbands' Gr Grandfather) born 1846 Keighley Yorkshire England died 1915 Keighley, Yorkshire, England.married Elizabeth Scarborough on 5th Dec 1868 in Keighley ParishChurch, Keighley, Yorkshire, England.Another child of James and Elizabeth:Mary Anne Smith married David Scarborough (brother of Elizabeth Scarborough) again in Keighley.David's father was also called David.
David and Mary Ann Scarborough (Nee Smith) emigrated to America about 1800. So did their parents and another daughter of James and Elizabeth (Margeret Ann Smith who married Michael Inman (They lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and their daughter Mary Ann Inman married Curt Albert Mallder (originally from Germany)
Mary Ann Scarborough died in 1922 in America but I'am not sure were.
David Scarborough died 1884 in I beleive a place called Oakley. He was born in 1844 in keighley, Yorkshire.
Their children were:
James Scarboroughborn 1870 (USA) died age 28 in 1898 in Florida (possibly a pace called Cassia?)
Clara Scarborough born 13 Oct 1872 (USA) died 1962 at the age of 89 in Toole, Utah, USA
Annie Elizabeth Scarborough b 25 Feb (USA) died 1971 age 95 in Toole, Utah. USA.
Obviously the Smith/Scarborough lines go back a lot further in England but how much information can a girl write in one go!
