Hello Freda,

Can't be sure that the Jane Scarth that I have the burial details for is your ancestor Jane Scarth. However, all I know is that a Jane Scarth, widow of a David Scarth, was buried at Escomb on 12 December 1822, aged 66. David Scarth was also buried at Escomb, on 12 February 1819, aged 66. This is from Escomb Parish Registers.

I came across this information whilst researching my Scarff ancestors in the area and at one time thought that the Scarff/Scarth's may have been related (just a corruption of the name) but I have since proved that they are not as mine are from Norfolk.

Hope that this helps.
Liz
