Between 1851 and 1856 my gr.granduncle Robert Moorsom Scarth (b.1817 Ireland) of Shrewsbury, Shropshire emigrated to Australia. The Australian Electoral Rolls 1903- 1954 record him in 1856 as practising as a solicitor in Ferrers Street and residing at Emerald Hill, South Melbourne, Victoria, in Australia. The Rolls also show a Henry Robert Scarth and wife Ellen living at 31 Nicholson Road, Subiaco, Perth in 1910 and 1916.Since Robert Moorsom's older brother was named Henry ( my gr.grandfather b.1812 Ireland, d.1896 Canada )there is a good chance that if Robert M. had a son he would have been named Henry Robert. I would appreciate a contact with any Scarth in Australia who may be related to Robert Moosom Scarth...who, by the way, was named for his Uncle, Admiral Sir Robert Moorsom, commander of HMS Revenge at the Battle of Trafulgar in 1808.
