Hello everyone i was searching online for information about my family, i am only 18 and i live in Wales, United Kingdom, my dad is called John Frederick Scatchard and my name is John William Scatchard, i am intrigued to see wat i have read because all the names i have seen all realte to my family and have been passed down through the family, my dad is origanlly from keighly in yorkshire and his father was Syril Scatchard, Syril was one of the main import and exports of steel works in to the UK during the 40's to 80's, he sadly died because of the poor conditions he worked in, my father looked back the family tree of the Scatchards and found out when the Scatchards family first started we were a family of blacksmiths all over the world, and this was around either the roman times, saxons or celts, i woudld like to hear more about my family and where it all started, i also still have family in yorkshire the real Scatchards are James Scatchard, Matthew Scatchard who is James son, so please if anyone has any more information please post back.
