According to information that I have collected from various sources:

According to the book Pennsylvania German Pioneers by Strassburger and Hinke, the ship Eastern Branch arrived Philadelphia Oct 3 1753. The ship sailed from Rotterdam with a stop in Portsmouth. Capt. James Nevin was Master of the ship.

According to the English translation of the list, the name spelling on the Ship's List was "Shaber" and both the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Abjuration the spelling was "Schaber"....all three show my ancesor, Sebastian, as the given name.

Sebastian "Boston" Shawver was born 1733 in Saxony/Hesse Darmstadt Europe. Sebastian's Oath is on file in the Pennsylvania Archives (SerII - Vol XVII p245. Immig Oct. 3, 1753, Ship Eastern Branch).

I am descended from Sebastian (1731-1816 d. in Morgan Co., Va) through his son George (1764-1849) m. Mary Gillespie; Sebastian Boston (1791-1845) m. Lydia Mary McClung; Grandison (1822-1906) m. Frances Elizabeth McFarland and Mary Amanda Erraminte (1858-1929) m. Geo. David Cross.

If I can be of any assistance with this branch of the family, I'll be glad to do it.
